Fırın helva , or baked helva, is a dessert made from sesame seed paste and sugar, melted in the oven in a clay pot.
When enjoying a large meal with your friends and family, often consisting of many courses which include meze, fish, salads, and raki, one traditional dessert is baked helva, which when prepared properly is a semi-sweet, somewhat chewy, and very fulfilling dessert made from ground nut butter (usually sesame) and sugar.
