What Is? Şekerpare

Şekerpare (literally sugar pieces) is a Turksih dessert of small semolina cakes coated in sugar syrup with almond hats.

Şekerpare is an after dinner sweet common throughout the Middle East, Turkey, and Greece. Small cakes are baked, then soaked with a hot sugar syrup. The result is a very sweet, very moist bite. Şekerpare is a dessert you will see at family gatherings, especially those asossciated with holidays like Ramazan, and Kurban Bayrami.
